Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is one such herb. It is categorized as an adaptogen, which means that it has positive effects on multiple functions on the body physiology and improves the overall metabolism instead of having a selective action on specific organs like the allopathic medicines.

Our energy unit is aptly described in terms of horse-power. The word Ashwagandha means “the smell of the horse” and it can give you the power of a horse. Ashwagandha is a storehouse of anti-cancerous, anti-oxidant, anti-stress, vitalizing and detoxifying properties.

Benefits of Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is considered the best Ayurvedic herb for the male reproductive system. It has the amazing properties to balance the male sex hormones, increase the quality and quantity of semen and sexual strength of a person.

Home remedies with Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is used as an ingredient in multiple classical Ayurvedic medicines like Chyavanprash, Amritprash etc.

For memory loss, consumption of 1 tsp of Ashwagandha powder along with an equal quantity of Brahmi can have great improvements. Please consume this combination before bed with honey and warm milk/water for best results.

For general debility 1 tsp of Ashwagandha powder, Tumeric powder, ¼ tsp of black pepper powder should be boiled in 200 gm of water for 10 min. consume the drained liquid with 1 tsp of Ghee (Indian clarified butter). This mixture should be consumed early morning empty stomach for best results.

For increasing sexual capacity, consume 1 tsp of Ashwagandha powder with 1 tsp of Shatavari powder and 1 tsp of Ghee with warm milk early morning.

Triphala

Triphala is a combination of three Ayurvedic herbs – Amla (Indian gooseberry), Harad (Terminalia) and Vibhitak( Beleric). It is an excellent combination that treasures immense benefits for the entire body. According to Charak, one should consume Triphala every day for a long and healthy life.

Triphala has great antioxidant properties and a huge amount of vitamin C because of the presence of Amla. Harad is an Ayurvedic herb excellent for the digestive system. According to Ayurveda, Harad is considered as benevolent to the stomach as the mother is to the baby. Vibhitak is great for many serious disorders like asthma, diabetes, body pain, digestive disorders etc.

Home remedies with Triphala

Consume 1 tsp of Triphala powder at night before bed with warm/normal water. This is an excellent zero-side effects remedy for constipation, acidity, bloating, flatulence, burping, and many other digestive problems.

Boil 2-3 tsp of Triphala powder in 200 ml water for 10 min. This mixture should be consumed early morning empty stomach for best results. This remedy is excellent in case of digestive and skin disorders.

Soak 1 tsp of Triphala powder in 200 ml of water overnight and wash your eyes with the drained liquid. Use of eye-wash cups can enhance the benefits. This will help to relieve the tiredness of the eyes, help to increase the flexibility of the eye muscles and rate of eye drainage. It is very helpful for the people working for long hours on laptop or mobile.

Soak 4-5 tsp of Triphala powder (according to the length of your hair) in water overnight and apply the paste on your hair the next day. It is excellent for hair growth and prevents hair fall, dandruff, and early hair whitening.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is an herb which is extensively used in daily Indian cooking. Fenugreek is very beneficial for the digestive system. It is helpful in the prevention of all types of digestive, liver, blood and skin disorders. It is an excellent blood purifier and helps in liver detoxification.

Fenugreek helps to lower the cholesterol levels and therefore is very good for the hypertension-related disorders. It stimulates the pancreatic secretions and helps to control diabetes. It also helps to reduce the inflammation in the body.

Home remedies with Fenugreek

Soak 9-10 Fenugreek seeds in the 100 ml water overnight. Swallow the seeds and drink the water early morning empty stomach. This remedy is very beneficial for constipation, bloating and acidity. It also helps to purify blood and eliminate skin disorders. Alternatively, you can use 1 tsp of fenugreek powder for direct consumption.

Consume 1 tsp of fenugreek powder 30 min before meals for effective relief from burning sensation in case of stomach ulcers. This remedy is also very beneficial in case of chronic acidity.

Boil 2-3 tsp of Fenugreek powder with 5-6 Tulsi leaves, ½ tsp turmeric and a pinch of black pepper in 200 ml water for 10 min. Drain the liquid and consume 10 ml every hour for general fever. This remedy is very helpful in reducing fever and all kinds of inflammation in the body.

Boil 2-3 tsp of Fenugreek powder with 1 tsp of neem powder/ 5-6 leaves in 200 ml of water for 10 min. Drain consume the remaining liquid empty stomach early morning. This is a very beneficial remedy for itching, fungal infections, acne, and skin inflammation.
